Cat People

Sometime in the winter a couple of years ago, I was commuting to an office in Manhattan and sketching people on the commute. I had also been drawing my cat while at home. To amuse myself, I decided to combine the two ideas, and I found myself with a new fun thing to do.

I feel they may be interested in one another but very shy.

I also started to draw cats straight out of my imagination.

In my everyday journal writing, a cat-like person has come to stand in for my own psyche, a way to figure out things.
